Rita Hayworth Galas
Princess Yasmin Aga Khan held the first Rita Hayworth Gala in 1985 to honor her mother, actress Rita Hayworth, who died as a result of Alzheimer's disease. The event has grown into a premier social event, hosted in three cities nationwide: Chicago, New York and the newly added Dallas.
The Rita Hayworth Galas have raised over $53 million for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. These funds, combined with other donations, have helped the Association raise more than $265 million since 1984.
