Alzheimer’s Association hosts briefing with Congressional Task Force on Alzheimer’s

At an Alzheimer's Association briefing in Washington, D.C., Congressional Task Force on Alzheimer’s Disease co-chairs Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) were joined by nationally known research experts to discuss brain health and how lifestyle factors, including diet and exercise, relate to the risk of developing Alzheimer’s.

Experts included Dr. Maryiln Albert, a national board member of the Alzheimer's Association and past chair of the Association's Medical and Scientific Advisory Council, and Dr. Richard Mayeux of Columbia University. The task force also updated the audience of congressional staffers about current research projects and the importance of continued federal funding.
